Data Mining Research Laboratory
Location :Department of Computer Science of Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana, USA.
Data Mining Research Laboratory (DMRL) was established in 2002, under the direction of Dr. Sumeet Dua. The laboratory comprises of graduate and undergraduate students from an assortment of academic disciplines, working under the expert guidance of Dr. Dua. Close collaborations with other senior researchers provide the students excellent opportunities to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional research setting. DMRL members enjoy cutting-edge research infrastructural resources available in an encouraging environment, conducive for research and other creative activities.
The research in DMRL is focused in three main areas of Computer Science: Knowledge discovery in high dimensional data (Data Mining), Bioinformatics and Biomedical informatics. Due to diversified backgrounds of the group members, wide-ranging of research problems are investigated in these areas.
