Main focus of PhD studentships in the LBGM lab at Université de La Réunion are computational approaches in the field of Protein Sciences, structural biology... Main focus presently is (i) to understand interaction between a protein and a ligand using QM/MM approaches, (ii) to develop new approaches towards better description of local protein structures (structural alphabets etc.), (iii) modelling and simulation and (iv) in silico approaches for directed evolution. We collaborate with EBGM from Université Paris 7 (Paris, France), Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore, India) and National Centre for Biological Sciences (Bangalore, India).
